The Vision within us

Write down
the vision; for it is for an appointed time, as simple as these words sound, we
find that is not really easy to put our visions together and manage them to the
stage of accomplishment, mainly due to the lack of understanding of how a
vision or a dream given by God evolve.
Sandra and I
had decided to spend some time waiting on the Lord God to find out the way
forward. During the wait, as we made ourselves available to God, He began to
teach and prepare us for a new assignment; which is to teach the nations about
the need for humanity to call on the Lord, for a revelation of the will of God,
which translates into a divine destiny in Jesus Christ.
Day after
day as the Spirit of God continued to teach and expose this powerful topic to
us, I became disturbed about how to package, prepare and release the mountain
of information He was releasing to us.
Even though
I was not confused, I must admit, the feeling was like being in a maze not
knowing how to start, how to proceed, and as a result made some mistakes,
notable amongst them, was to begin sharing the vision thinking that people would
accept and embrace the message immediately because I said it was from God.
Then one day
I went to the chapel of a local church to be still before the Lord. As I
started praying in the spirit, I began asking God how the commission, which has
become a vision for me to accomplish, was going to be possible without funds
and other logistics, the fact that I was not an orator like Moses, and several other
factors, including the big question; “how soon, are we there yet?”
God was
asking me to pitch tent for the vision several thousand kilometers from where we
were located at that time, and therefore the need to plan to relocate to the
mission field.
Even though the
Lord kept on assuring me "You came back from your own foreign travels with
a small staff, now I am sensing you to do a work for me and you will go with a
multitude, where I am sending you, even if you have cattle take them with
you"
So as I sat
in that empty uncompleted church building that morning just praying in the Spirit,
immediately God began to speak to me, I could feel the words pouring into my
spirit as He taught me about how a vision develops and why you have to write it
down and wait for the vision to be birthed in at the appointed time, the
fullness of time.
Pregnancy
Stage:
Every vision if it is of God is released into our Spirit man by the
Holy Spirit, in the same manner as the Spirit came upon Mary and She conceived
our Lord Jesus Christ in Luke 1:35, "And the angel answered and said to her,
The Holy Spirit shall come on you, and the power of the Highest shall
overshadow you. Therefore also that Holy One which will be born of you shall be
called Son of God."
Reading the experience of Zacharias and Elizabeth, you will find the same pattern recorded in Luke 1:15,
"For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall neither drink
neither wine nor strong drink. And he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit,
even from his mother's womb." Even
though John the Baptist was not of a virgin birth, one fact stands out, that he
and Jesus were conceived by the power and infilling of the Holy Ghost.
People have all kinds of
visions to do all sorts of things, but one thing we need to understand is this,
apart from waking up with a dream to do what God has placed in your spirit, and
you seeking directions from the Most High to bring that dream to life, there is
also the other group of people who also wake up with a dream and then move
ahead to do it without God, but by looking at how other people did it.
Here you must quickly understand
that, such a dream definitely will end up glorifying flesh, because it is minus
God.
For there is always the moments
when you get filled up with an idea that you think God is asking you to do for
Him. Check up if it is of God through prayer, and then let the vision be
directed by God like a producer directs a movie, and it will ultimately glorify
God.
Acknowledgment of the Vision.
This is the point to accept
and acknowledge that you have received a vision within you. This consciousness
is very necessary. The ignorance of the existence of a vision will jeopardize
the pregnancy of a vision.
If it is a vision from God
deposited within you it is similar to the situation of a woman who was barren
and suddenly got pregnant. You definitely will feel a change and you will feel
the vision stirring up within you, just as it happened to Zerubbabel in Haggai 1:14, "And
the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of
Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the
spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the
house of the LORD of hosts, their God."
No one misses this stage of the
feeling that you have a vision swelling up within you and if you do not acknowledge
the vision and write it down, it means you do not care about it.
Unlike physical pregnancy which
may end up in miscarriage, what the Lord God has deposited within you would not
abort; it will remain within you and surely go down to the grave, if you do
nothing about it.
Understanding the vision
If you do acknowledge that a
vision or a dream is stirring up within you, this brings an understanding of
what you are carrying within you, then you will understand and treasure it as
Elizabeth and Mary both did, they were filled with joy And Mary said, "My
soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior,"
Luke 1:46-47.
Quickly they set out to understand
the vision, And after those days his wife Elizabeth conceived and hid herself
five months, saying, Luke 1:24, and Mary
did the same thing in Luke 1:56 "And Mary stayed with her about three
months, and returned to her own house."
We have to pray to understand
the vision, for it is dangerous to be ignorant about what God wants us to do
for Him. As simply as it may sound, it is good to know that, if we do not
understand and appreciate the vision we are carrying, a simple advice from a
third person may cause you to abandon or reshape your vision if you are not careful.
In the formative days, years
and months, it is prudent to 'hush' to keep quiet, being still before the Lord.
It is like waiting to have the first scan of a fetus. Beware, there is someone
roaming about like a lion looking for a vision to destroy, a vision to steal
and a vision to kill.
Prayerfully ask God to unfold
the whole vision, the package to you so that you will know if it is a boy, girl
or a set of twins, so that you can understand how you are supposed to proceed.
This is the restless stage but
if you make it beyond this stage, then you are in good shape, because at this
point, you have a fair understanding of what God has deposited within you, you
have remained connected and made a download without no biases, so you are very
prepared.
Many stop at this stage,
confused and possibly place the vision on the back burner, like one time we
were praying for an elderly lady in her late fifties and suddenly Sandra saw a
vision of a bowl of cooked beans, and immediately the Spirit of the Lord gave
me the meaning.
This lady had the vision to be
a minister of God but was sluggish about it and through that vision God was telling
her to hurry on with the vision or her message will become cold like a cold
plate of beans. Just like being offered a cold plate of beans and being offered
a hot plate of beans, which of the two is palatable?
Protecting the Vision
Now that you understand what
is swelling up within you, it must be protected for someone is roaming about
like a lion watching and seeking a vision to destroy.
At this stage just like a
women who is pregnant you will begin to show certain physical signs, especially
by mouth you will begin to say a word here or there as an evidence of what God
has deposited within you and you must understand that from this period till the
delivery of the vision is going to be the most difficult one, because many will
tongue lash you and despise you.
Let me encourage you to remain
in sound mind for that is what you need being in tune with God at all time,
just like David said in Psalm 121:1, "I look up to the hills."
Watch out for being despised, because at this
point the devil knows that you have accepted, understood and purposed to run
with the vision, to do what you wrote down, so many distraction will rise
against you.
He knows you have also
purposed to protect the vision from him so he is surely going to come against
you like he did to Joseph. The young boy went through all that difficult phase
because he knew there was something within him waiting to explode.
The rage of the arch enemy of
the God given destiny of mankind, through the brothers of Joseph created a
detour which took him through the house of the Egyptian official, on the way to
the Prime Ministership position in Egypt.
If Joseph was not protecting
the vision he would have bowed to the advances of Potiphera, it is evident and clear that Joseph acknowledged and understood
the vision, he accepted it and positioned himself to protect the vision, so
that only the will and the mind of God for him will be accomplished in his life.
